Vendor Planning Specialist

Purpose of the Role
Join the Manufacturing- Logistics team as the Vendor Planning Specialist where you'll be responsible for managing the delivery schedule to the external supplier and key part shortages to internal customers, and play a pivotal role in driving Bentley’s goals of production volume achievement by maintaining a stable supply of parts into the business. Reporting into the Functional Manager- Vendor Planning, your main responsibilities include;

• Provision of an accurate schedule to all suppliers that supports production build programme, inventory budget and collection requirements
• Identification of potential supply constraints and risk to parts supply using SAP data and feedback from suppliers, responsible for agreeing corrective actions working cross functionally with Logistics colleagues, Purchase, Quality and with supplier as necessary
• Using performance data from SAP and Tableau, identify suppliers on a negative trend against KPI’s. Where appropriate flag to Senior Vendor Planning Specialist for suppliers to be placed on the supplier escalation process to mitigate risk to the business and support said supplier escalation process to resolve supply and delivery performance.
• Create and maintain KPI’s through SAP, Tableau and Excel as required by the business to inform senior management of supplier status and inventory stockholding as required.
• Investigate anomalies in SAP schedule integrity data and instigate corrective actions working cross functionally with Logistics colleagues in Tech Support, EDI team and Production Control to resolve

About the Team

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Boxed Vendor Planning team in the Logistics function. The team operates within a fast paced environment and collaborates with multiple areas of the business. No two days are ever the same as you join a team which is integral to supporting the day to day manufacturing operation in achieving volume build. Other areas of influence of Bentley’s Beyond100 strategy include optimised inventory, operating within freight budgets and ensuring supplier performance.

About you – Skills and Experience

• Experience of working with suppliers to deliver best practices solutions and robust delivery methods.
• Experience of working with internal customers, Production, Quality and material handling to support part shortage requirements for weekly car sales.
• Knowledge of a range of analytical tools including DMAIC, 5 Why, Fishbone Diagrams
• A strong attention to detail and a high accuracy approach when compiling and completing data.
• Experience of using SAP to manage bill of material concerns and supplier management processes.
• Strong communication skills demonstrating the ability to influence effectively at all levels and strong presentation skills.
• Experience of working within a time critical logistics environment including experience of TS16949 or equivalent quality/logistics standards
