Currently we have several opportunities to join the BEV platform as a Production Manager.

 

Purpose of the Role
Join the BEV Manufacturing team as a Production Manager where you'll be responsible for the operational management of the zone with responsibility for Quality, Budgetary Control, Product Delivery, Health & Safety procedures. This position will play a pivotal role in driving the business forward. Reporting into the Functional Manager, your main responsibilities include;

 

  • Managing the integration for BEV through the project gateways in accordance with PEP for Production from VFF up to SOP. 
  • Management & delivery of all products in accordance with company build plans across more complex technologies / zones.
  • Responsible for the on-time delivery of product to all customers both internal & external. Ensure the product is delivered within Right First Time (RFT) principles & Defects Per Vehicle (DPV).
  • Responsible for the Production System / Process across zones to ensure both internal & external audit compliance including VCA, TUV, China
  • Lead & control problem solving activities using Bentley Production System (BPS) tools to ensure effective solutions completed as required.
  • Manage continuous improvement activities within the technology & develops ideas for improvements through to implementation.
  • Has responsibility for Key Performance Indicators to measure & monitor operational targets and highlights potential risks and solutions.
  • Authorises & forecasts overtime within agreed timescales & budgets.
  • Responsible for the management of all personnel within the zone, including recruitment, training & development & performance (MBO).
  • Responsible for the launch of projects year on year on into the technology , ensuring appropriate skills, training, tools etc. are in place.

About you – Skills and Experience

  • Deep knowledge of product assembly, process design, facilities & standardised work methodology- has worked across a number of technologies / areas of expertise
  • Excellent working knowledge / experience , business legislation (inc. Health & Safety )
  • Is able to provide leadership & coaching both within Production & across other functions
  • Has experience of working within a production environment & demonstrates excellent communication skills. A role model for their Team and department.
  • Leads Continuous Improvement & problem solving tools & techniques
  • Significant demonstrable Manufacturing experience and expertise
