Purpose of the Role
Join the Logistics- Material Flow team as the Material Flow Planner where you'll develop and deliver the most efficient, effective and flexible supply chain solutions to support vehicle build story requirements and deliver production requirements in line with production volumes This role will play a pivotal role in driving Bentley forward to electrification and increased volumes with reduced movements and handling of parts. Reporting into the Supply Chain Planning Manager, your main responsibilities include;

  • Development / implementation of lineside delivery methods from external warehouses to lineside
  • Project management – design, develop and implementation of delivery methods for all parts and part groups
  • Supply Chain Routing – Establish and enter the supply code information per part into SAP that drives all part delivery internal information. This enables all delivery information for suppliers and the process/cost required to support material flow to assembly lines
  • Clear communication required with ability to co-ordinate meetings, take clear minutes, document follow ups and drive activity forward
  • Evaluation of packaging concept – agree optimum packaging solutions
  • Continuous Improvements – Maintain culture of continuous improvement to support financial targets set within business goals and FMK process
  • Flexible working attitude to carry out any reasonable request.

 

About the Team
The Material Flow Team are part of the Logistics Function within Manufacturing and are responsible for developing and implementation of the delivery of Series Production parts to the right location at the right time and cost.

We work cross functionally with launch, Production Planning, Quality and Production to find the right delivery solution, taking into account the overall cost to the business, H&S requirements and space available to gain agreement cross functionally.

This involves all New Model parts introduction and day to day issues that may appear on the production line where we would be involved in, such as the movement of production parts to improve the Production Processes, Go Gemba’s and activities to problem solve.

  • Demonstrable experience of internal supply chain development
  • Effective communication with a range of people internally and externally
  • Proven influencing and negotiation skills with internal and external suppliers and customers
  • Planning and complex problem solving skills
  • A positive attitude and driven to achieve
  • Good team player also able to work on their own
