Purpose of the Role
Join the Vehicle Motion team as the Functional Project Manager where you'll lead the functional content on a variety of projects and represent Engineering across the module. In this pivotal role you will have matrix responsibility to the Engineering Platform Leader and ensure successful engineering project deliverables in the ever changing automotive landscape. This is an exciting opportunity to work on future vehicle development within the Research and Development space. Reporting into the Head of Systems Integration your main responsibilities include;

• Representing Vehicle Motion in relevant business forums, representing the Director and Head of Department when necessary
• Responsibility for management and communication of the project content to secure cross functional project buy in  
• Influence the functional team to ensure people are engaged in delivering high quality, innovative solutions that achieve customer satisfaction and business efficiency
• Review/challenge technical concepts and their suitability for the project targets

About the Team
The Vehicle Motion - Propulsion Systems team are responsible for the design, development, validation and signoff of all propulsion hardware systems including engine, electric propulsion motors, transmissions, driveline, cooling, exhaust, refrigerant, intake air, water and fuel systems within the extraordinary Bentley product range. The team is well motived and works within an ever changing environment as Bentley Motors is transforming, combining a world of luxury and progressive technology to embrace an electrified future.

About you – Skills and Experience

The successful candidate will have previous experience in Project Management ideally within the automotive, aerospace, defence or marine industry, however other industries will be considered. Systems Engineering experience would be advantageous.

• Proven track record of successful project planning and delivery, ideally within the automotive space, although other industries will be considered
• Broad knowledge of engineering principal’s and their relationships
• Knowledge of Design Development, Test and Measurement
• Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
• A relevant Degree subject or equivalent relevant experience
