Apprenticeship Programme:

As one of our Bentley apprentices, you will combine practical experience with classroom learning to achieve an Electrical & Electronic Engineering degree (Level 6). You will play a significant part in our business as we continue on this exciting journey to deliver extraordinary vehicles for our customers. Based out of our state-of-the-art headquarters in Crewe, you will:

About the role:

Working within the Launch Quality Centre - Electrical Problem solving team, you will get  exposure to the best luxury cars in the world, whilst working alongside and being mentored by Automotive engineering professionals. Here you’ll analyse a wide range of complex electrical issues across both manufacturing series and pre-series production lines. You’ll contribute in cross-functional collaboration to ensure the precision of the electrical build story and seamless delivery to takt and launch new cars.  You will also gain invaluable experience collaborating with different business areas and ensuring customer satisfaction in our global retailer network.

 

Your key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Working in collaboration with the engineers to resolve reported issues and identify areas of responsibility, containment requirements and fix timings,
  • Supporting Production to ensure all electrical processes are robust and meet the required cost, quality, and timing targets,
  • Supporting project work through vehicle development and commissioning activities during the Pre-Series phases, using engineering tools,
  • Consulting with stakeholders to plan and prioritise ensuring all targets are met,
  • Following and adhering to existing process documentation, and update information if changes occur,
  • Support with the creation of presentations to deliver to Managers and Senior Managers.

 

About the Department:

The Electrical Problem Solving Team covers all electrical based issues and faults reported by the business from pre series to end of life. The team sits within the Launch Quality Centre which supports a vehicle across most of its product lifecycle; influencing early product design, through to building pre-series vehicles and on to problem solving until end of life. We are responsible for driving launch performance and series improvements. 

 

What we’re looking for:

Training Provider Entry Requirements:

Warwick University: 

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths at grade 4/C or above
  • 112 UCAS tariff points.
  • Applicants must also hold GCSE grades in Maths, English and additional STEM subject at grades C (or 4) or above.
  • Disciplines studied post GCSE must include any of Engineering or relevant STEM subjects (Physics recommended).
  • In addition to the required entry tariff, applicants must have also achieved an A level in Maths at Grade B.
