Purpose of the Role
Join the Supplier Management Team as a Project Specialist where you'll lead and facilitate key Supplier Management objectives to ensure timely and on target delivery, ensuring functional deliverables can be met through effective influencing and networking across the business. You’ll collaborate cross functionally with research & development, manufacturing, logistics and quality to deliver your objectives and be part of creating Bentley‘s exciting future.

 

Reporting to the Purchase Senior Supplier Manager, the Project Specialist will play a key role in the planning of Bentley’s new and exciting range of vehicles and supporting the senior management with recommendations to support critical decision making.

 

  • Leading the project management of key supplier management activities inclusive of but not limited to QTR ( Quality Technical Requirements) & SFN (Capability Analysis)
  • Application of robust problem solving with focus on quality, delivery and lead-time improvement requirements
  • Co-ordinating activities to support cross functional and key functional decision making
  • Actively engage/lead key activities with suppliers
  • Proactively steering and contributing to Supplier Management strategy with focus on application of continuous improvement
  • Providing clear and effective reporting at all levels with focus on business critical KPI metrics.

Supplier Management is responsible for the management of critical suppliers to protect key milestones and supplier readiness to ensure continuity of Supply  in Project & Series.

The team works with the project platforms and functional areas to mitigate risk to achieve a common goal and ensure a consistent ‘One Voice Approach’ to the Bentley supply base.   

 

About you – Skills and Experience

  • Project planning, management and delivery experience is required
  • PMP, Prince2 or equivalent professional project/programme management accreditation would be advantageous
  • German language skills would be advantageous
  • Automotive industry experience would be advantageous
  • Strong communication skills
  • Intermediate Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Proven co-ordination experience
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Experience working with cross functional team
