Purpose of the Role
Join the Manufacturing Production Planning team as a Manufacturing Facilities Engineer where you’ll help introduce equipment and facilities for new vehicle models and product enhancements into production. Reporting into the Senior Process Planning Manager, your main responsibilities include;

  • Leading the development and implementation of facilities, equipment and technologies, translating new product and production requirements into effective solutions aligned with approved investment levels and programme timing requirements
  • Applying structured problem-solving and control techniques to challenge existing approaches, identify risks early, investigate root causes and implement practical solutions to complex project issues
  • Ensuring all facilities and equipment meet relevant legal, regulatory and Health & Safety requirements, embedding safety and compliance throughout the project lifecycle
  • Managing project budgets and capital investment effectively, monitoring expenditure and proactively mitigating financial risks to ensure delivery within agreed targets
  • Developing and maintaining robust project plans, coordinating activities and tracking key milestones to ensure timely delivery against programme requirements
  • Coordinating cross-functional teams, including R&D, Quality, Logistics, IT, Digital Manufacturing and Connected Manufacturing Systems, alongside suppliers and contractors, to define solutions and drive successful project delivery
  • Overseeing equipment installation, integration and commissioning through to final handover, ensuring facilities and equipment are operationally ready and fit for production
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives across facilities and production environments to enhance efficiency, safety, equipment performance and overall manufacturing capability
