Purpose of the Role
Join the Aftersales team as a Logistics Manager, where you’ll oversee all global inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring the needs of our worldwide retailer network and their customers are met in line with company strategy and goals. You’ll also act as a key subject matter expert, driving continuous improvement in service delivery and customer satisfaction.

Reporting to the Head of Logistics – Aftersales, you’ll lead the Aftersales Logistics team, driving performance and delivery. You’ll work closely with the Warehouse Manager, Quality, all Aftersales functions, Finance, Sales and Marketing, VW Group Importers, and third-party logistics providers to ensure a seamless operation.

Your main responsibilities include;

  • Accountable for global Aftersales logistics operations, ensuring right-first-time delivery to support customer satisfaction.
  • Manage third-party providers (facilities, logistics, services), including selection, performance, and issue resolution
  • Lead financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, spend tracking, and corrective actions
  • Develop and manage end-to-end logistics solutions from Bentley to customers across importers and retailers.
  • Ensure compliance with global logistics regulations, including customs, export controls, aviation security, and dangerous goods
  • Drive process optimisation and governance across logistics operations.

 

About the Team
Based at the Aftersales warehouse facility, the Logistics function plays a critical role in supporting Aftersales, Sales & Marketing, and the global Retailer network, ensuring the efficient delivery of parts and accessories worldwide. Through managing thousands of shipments each year, the team directly contributes to customer satisfaction through on-time, high-quality delivery performance.

As a Logistics Manager, you will lead and optimise end-to-end logistics operations, balancing demand and supply while driving efficiency and service excellence. This is a fast-paced, varied role offering the opportunity to make a visible impact on business performance, retailer service levels, and the overall customer experience.

 

About you – Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrable experience managing diverse, global logistics networks across factory, Aftersales and importer level
  • Warehousing and logistics experience including inbound operations, OEM/importer flows, and end-to-end supply chain management
  • Budget ownership and responsibility with financial and cost control capability
  • Experience managing competing priorities and time-critical situations while maintaining a high standard of customer service
  • Data analysis skills to support data driven decisions to enhance operational excellence
  • Development and management of diverse logistics solutions, including direct-to-dealer, direct-to-customer, OEM-to-importer, and supplier-to-OEM models.
  • Practical knowledge of global multimodal transport (road, sea, air), security compliance (Aviation security, C-TPAT), Dangerous goods regulations, and TS16949 or equivalent standards
