About the role:
As an Industrial Placement Student at Bentley, you will play a key part in Bentley’s journey to extraordinary vehicles for our customers. Based out of our state-of-the-art headquarters in Crewe, you will:
- Have the opportunity to work alongside world-class engineers on electric and intelligent vehicle technologies,
- Gain hands on experience, technical mastery and the confidence to shape the cars of tomorrow,
- Be part of the process from concept to creation.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Work with and be mentored by experienced electrical engineers working on cutting edge hybrid powertrains
- Carry out research projects on hybrid systems design trends to ensure that our products are meeting customer expectations.
- Collaborate with team members across R&D to ensure design tasks always putting the customer first
- Work with varying teams to ensure that Bentley remains the leading premium luxury Motor Brand through the creation of a global benchmarking evaluation of competitor vehicles
- You will work in close partnership with our function owners, engineering teams, to ensure hybrid and high voltage systems are delivered within the project timeframes.
- Collaborate with project stakeholders to help understand and define customer value
- Plan and execute quantitative and qualitative research to get user feedback on your designs and ideas.
About the Department:
This role sits within the wider Electrical Engineering department in R&D. We are responsible for the entire research and development process of all Bentley products, from idea creation all the way through to engineering sign off. Our mission is to inspire our customers by creating extraordinary products through passion, collaboration and sustainable innovation.
What we are looking for:
The successful candidates will be on track to achieve a 2:1 in the following degrees: Engineering Degree with a strong interest in Electronics & the Automotive Industry.
