As part of Bentley’s annual Early Careers intake, you’ll join a community of around 75 trainees including Industrial Placements, Graduates, and Apprentices.

About the role:

As an Industrial Placement Student at Bentley, you will play a key part in Bentley’s journey to creating extraordinary vehicles for our customers. Based out of our state-of-the-art headquarters in Crewe, you will:

  • Work alongside a diverse team of product influencing experts ton shape the future of Bentley,
  • Have the opportunity to work with a number of other functions within the business, utilising cutting edge technology to embed your ideas into the product design,
  • Be empowered to influence product concepts within assigned projects during your time within the department and also be involved in the manufacturing strategic program.

 

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Working pro-actively to support the generation of manufacturing recommendations and requirements for future projects
  • Supporting the technical analysis of design data to identify feasibile risks/concerns and drive appropriate actions to resolve
  • Supporting the delivery of project Gap and Rad requirements that define the surface interfaces of the vehicle
  • Developing, Co-ordinating and delivering the lessons learnt process
  • Engaging and facilitating in cross-functional business reviews
  • Developing and enhancing the virtual reality capabilities of the department.

 

About the Department:

The New Model Feasibility Team work within the Manufacturing Function. The team is responsible in helping influence future products during the project to ensure that the design is feasible to build and support manufacturing targets. To be able to deliver a successful launch into production.

You will learn how future Bentley products are developed and influenced using a technical, analytical and modern approach to ensure that the vehicles are sympathetic to Manufacturing and deliver a high quality product for our customers.

 

What we are looking for:

The successful candidates will be on track to achieve a 2:1 in their given Engineering degree.

Skills required for the role:

  • Familiarity with CAD software, preferably including virtual reality.
  • Problem Solving Skills
  • Good Communication
  • Good Time Management.
  • Proficient in Excell or Power BI
