Apprenticeship Programme:        

As one of our Bentley apprentices, you will combine practical experience with classroom learning to achieve an Heritage Engineering Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship. You will play a significant part in our business as we continue on this exciting journey to deliver extraordinary customer journeys. Based out of our state-of-the-art headquarters in Crewe, you will:

  • Work with experts who will support your professional and personal development
  • Be welcomed into our Early Careers Network
  • Spend 20% of your time learning with an external training provider and 80% of your time gaining hands on experience
  • Opportunity to have placements and further rotations around the business

About the role:

You will be working alongside colleagues who have decades of experience crafting some of the finest cars built in the Crewe factory. You will have the opportunity to learn and experience the skills required to achieve these standards and through out your apprenticeship will gain experience that could not be matched elsewhere

 

Your key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Working alongside the existing Mulliner workshop team to develop skills that will enable you to develop into a Technician within the department,
  • Attendance at offsite training locations to learn traditional skills that support the ongoing upkeep of those specialist skills that are needed in order to work on historic vehicles,
  • Working with other trainees from across the business on community/charity projects,
  • Involvement with departmental improvement activities.

 

About the Department:

Bentley’s Mulliner department create the pinnacle products within our portfolio, split into 3 core area’s:

  • Classic continuation builds Speed Six– recreating iconic historic models from our portfolio in very limited numbers
  • Coachbuilding- Batur, being the first model to demonstrate what can be created within our coachbuilding team
  • Collections, allowing unique and limited number variants of current production models, the ultimate in personalisation

You will work alongside the teams building and crafting these vehicles, learning skills along the way that will allow you to become an integral part of the delivery team.

Heritage Skills Academy:

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths at grade 4/C or above,
  • A passion for hands-on work and attention to detail,
  • Commitment to completing a 42-month Level 3 apprenticeship,
  • Employer support for practical on-the-job learning.

  • Demonstrable enthusiasm and knowledge of vehicles and vehicle systems
