Purpose of the Role
Join the Whole Vehicle team as the Functional Manager- Test & Measure where you'll provide leadership to the Test and Measure Services team and to lead change in a complex and demanding environment whilst achieving delivery commitments to our diverse range of customers. Reporting into the Head of Engineering Workshop & Vehicle Build Centre, your main responsibilities include;
- Management of the Test and Measure Services team (to include: maintain and develop work standards within the department, planning and provision of resources, budget responsibility for operational overheads, maintain and report KPI’s, ensure practical and safe working operations and environment in line with the health and safety policy)
- Line manager responsibilities (to include: development of organisation, team skills & culture, colleague engagement action planning, management of future talent)
- Establish and sustain a culture of continuous, measurable improvement in operational performance
- Delivery of customer requirements for various testing methods and support services
- Ensuring the department has the right tools and capabilities to complete the tasks required by the customer

About you – Skills and Experience
- Experience leading complex operations over a broad range of equipment and capability
- Experience of leading technical services delivery, utilising internal and external strategic partnerships to meet customer requirements
- Good knowledge of rig testing, set-up, calibration, instrumentation and data capture
- Experience of successfully applying use of lean tools and process optimisation
- Experience leading facilities improvement, including the introduction of new technologies
- Strong Health and Safety experience including risk management and control (preferably with IOSH/NEBOSH certificates)
- Strong knowledge of whole vehicle systems and technical requirements
- Ability to lead and motivate a complex team to aligned objectives
- An Engineering degree or equivalent relevant experience
