Apprenticeship Programme:
As one of our Bentley apprentices, you will combine practical experience with classroom learning to achieve an Engineering and Manufacturing Support Technician Apprenticeship (Level 3). You will play a significant part in our business as we continue on this exciting journey to deliver extraordinary customer journeys. Based out of our state-of-the-art headquarters in Crewe, you will:

About the role:
We are seeking a Level 3 Apprentice to join R&D Workshop. Reporting to the Vehicle Delivery Manager, the Apprentice will provide a flexible, responsive and professional service to Engineering, other Business Departments and Group customers, in build, update, sign-off processes, development, test & measure & reporting.
Skills and Experience you will learn:
- Product Attribute and Technical Targets management
- Product Data Management and BoM
- CO2 and Energy Management
- Acoustic/NVH and Aerodynamic development
- Engineering fleet planning and management
- Prototype build, vehicle updates and maintenance
- Durability, functional test and drive events
- Whole Car release (GFF)
Your key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Supporting prototype and pre-series vehicles builds
- Support with integration testing (on and off-site)
- Preparing prototype vehicles for objective test, including the installation of measurement systems and sensors
- Supporting component test including setting up and helping to run test rigs for durability and environmental testing
- Liaise and work with various departments to resolve issues
- Provide technical support to all Engineering functions, Manufacturing and Quality
- Use of specialist engineering facilities and equipment to validate, diagnose and rectify issues
About the Department:
The Whole Vehicle Engineering team define, develop and validate achievement of whole vehicle product requirements, integrating activity across Engineering to deliver project goals.
What We Are Looking For:

Chesire College South & West:
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English grade 4/C or above.
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths grade 4/C or above.

Skill Requirements:
The successful candidate will demonstrate and have a passion to learn the below:
- Basic mechanical skills (use of hand tools, measuring equipment, mechanical assembly)
- Basic electrical skills (wiring, testing, understanding circuits)
- Understanding of engineering drawings and technical documentation
- Fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Preventive and reactive maintenance skills
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs)
