Apprenticeship Programme:        

As one of our Bentley apprentices, you will combine practical experience with classroom learning to achieve a Level 6 Digital and Technology Solutions degree. You will play a significant part in our business as we continue on this exciting journey to deliver extraordinary customer journeys. Based out of our state-of-the-art headquarters in Crewe, you will:

About the role:

As an Apprentice in the Electrical Planning Team, you will have exposure to the best luxury vehicles in the world. You will develop and gain expertise in vehicle electrical comissioning, effectively bringing the vehicle to life, using electrical test development software and tools. You will be working alongside and be mentored by industry leading professionals. You will be exposed to the world of electrical systems integration, learning how we ensure the reliability of our whole vehicle tool chain from the ground up.

 

Your key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop a strong electrical skillset in vehicle commissioning, programming and end of line checking practices.
  • Collaborate with the electrical planning team to deliver a variety of interesting and essential electrical projects.
  • Collaborate with other areas of the business, contributing in cross functional problem solving and error resolution.

 

About the Department:

The Electrical Planning Team are at the forefront of vehicle electrical commissioning, ensuring that all systems are seamlessly integrated and fully operational for all vehicle projects and variants. You will gain a strong skillset, supporting the development of electrical test sequences and contribute to the electrical commissioning of the latest vehicle testing systems and strategies. We are constantly working to enhance processes, improve system performance and ensure compliance with industry regulations, all while implementing emerging technologies.

 

What We Are Looking For:

Manchester Metropolitan University requirements:

  • Have the right of abode and right to work in the UK to qualify for funding
  • Applicants should have a minimum of 104 UCAS points at A-level (grades BCC) or an equivalent (for example, BTEC DMM).
  • Apprentices aged 16 to 18 who do not hold Level 2 or GCSE Maths and English Qualifications will be required to complete Functional Skills alongside the apprenticeship.
  • Apprentices aged 19 and over who do not hold or are unable to evidence achievement of Level 2 or GCSE Maths and English Qualifications will be required to undertake an initial assessment to assess their current working level. The outcome of this will be shared with the employer to inform the decision as to whether the apprentice will study Functional Skills alongside the apprenticeship.

  • Problem solving and analysis skills
  • Programming exposure, experience desired but not essential
  • Interest in computing innovative technologies - experience desired but not essential
  • Work well in a team environment
