Purpose of the Role
Join the Whole Vehicle Engineering Team as a Concept Engineer where you'll be responsible for the specification and integration of complex design & technical requirements for the Front & Underfloor Zone within the Vehicle Architecture team. Reporting into the Zone Leader (Technical Expert) your main responsibilities include;

• Using CAD and other virtual technologies to proactively resolve conflicts to support a robust concept delivery
• Working within a zonal team alongside both internal stakeholders and group platform partners to provide solutions to complex technical and project requirements
• Spearheading the creation and maintenance of Primary Hardpoints including Legal/Legislative requirements and ensuring compliance with both the A Surface and needs of the package
• Leveraging creativity to propose and create innovative concepts and architecture solutions during the early stages of the project, shaping and delivering the design and project vision
• Conducting comprehensive benchmarking of current and past portfolios as well as key competitors to problem solve, inform strategic decision-making and ensure we maintain a competitive edge
• Tracking and communicating the status of System Integration, highlighting the impact of late changes or decisions to keep the project on track
• Leadership of Working Technical Reviews to support the Zone Review decision making process

We are dedicated to delivering exceptional solutions through each stage of the development process, adhering to the needs of the Cycle Plan and Product Emergence Process timelines to achieve outstanding outcomes.

About you – Skills and Experience

• Highly proficient in Catia & PLM Systems (Understanding of PLM Systems, data management & control) 
• Creating package solutions in a complex vehicle environment and confident in proposing innovative ideas and engaging with stakeholders to discuss
• Processing complex technical information & interpreting technical and legal requirements applied to vehicle system and package
• Experience of vehicle front end systems or experience elsewhere on the vehicle
• Comfortable in addressing technical and project conflict, processing complex technical information and presenting it in a clear and concise manner
• Strong problem-solving abilities, utilising a variety of tools and methodologies to deliver optimal results for the vehicle and our customers
• Holistic view of concept and architecture solutions during the early stages of project, shaping the design and project vision
• Excellent presentation and storytelling skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to multiple stakeholders
• Comfortable interpreting and navigating technical and legal requirements appropriate as applied to vehicle systems and package
• An Engineering Degree or equivalent relevant experience
