Purpose of the Role
Join the IT team as the Application Analyst where you'll be responsible for operational support of IT applications over a number of technologies, ensuring system performance within agreed SLA’s, to quality, time and cost.
Reporting into the Infrastructure and Service Manager you will work to resolve application incidents and enact user requests whilst supporting IT colleagues, ensuring operational considerations are built into new developments.
On top of this you will introduce and remove applications to the live production environment, assisting and working with project teams to update or enhance the functionality of applications.
- Ensures the day to day operation for a subset of Bentley applications in terms of performance and availability
- Work to improve applications through their life-cycle
- Maintain operational applications as well as helping in the designing, testing and improving of application quality
- Ensure the security of the applications
- Keeps applications up-to-date with patches and upgrades
- Responsible for change approval and controlling change to applications, ensuring integration with other systems
- Monitoring incident resolution queue and request fulfilments within SLAs
- Responsible for shift left activity to reduce internal day-to-day/repetitive/non value adding work
- Problem management and incident elimination by identification of root cause
- Work with Projects and Project Teams to implement larger scale updates and changes
- Input to project teams to update on agreed developments as part of the PEP process

Working with partners and the wider business the team work to identify and implement continuous improvement processes increasing efficiency of operations, whilst ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction with support services and standards.
About you – Skills and Experience
- Intermediate technical problems solving skills and experience applying in an enterprise environment
- Experience with Incident management and end user communication
- Demonstrable experience in supporting applications in an enterprise environment
- Ability to implement technical enhancements to applications following ITIL practices
- Experience working with third parties to implement change
- Logical, analytical mind set and good attention to detail
- Intermediate influencing, negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience working with service providers, outsourced support providers and help desk services
- Able to organise and manage workload to reflect business priorities and allocate your time appropriately
- Ability to manage workload in order to achieve required Service Levels and other performance metrics
- Experience monitoring applications and capacity management to ensure availability
- Experience working with Success Factors would be an advantage
