Apprenticeship Programme:
As one of our Bentley apprentices, you will combine practical experience with classroom learning to complete an advanced upholster level 3 apprenticeship. You will play a significant part in our business as we continue on this exciting journey to deliver extraordinary customer journeys. Based out of our state-of-the-art headquarters in Crewe, you will:
- Work with experts who will support your professional and personal development
- Be welcomed into our Early Careers Network
- Spend 20% of your time learning with an external training provider and 80% of your time gaining hands on experience
- Opportunity to have placements and further rotations around the business

About the role:
As an upholstery apprentice at Bentley, your role will be to work as a team to produce our renowned and luxurious interiors for our vehicles This is a hands-on, craft-focused role, producing high-quality components that reflect Bentley’s heritage, precision, and customer individuality. You will work to clear process instructions and defined process times, delivering exceptional quality across a wide range of customer specifications.
Your key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Learn how to sew interior parts using different sewing machines and simple hand‑stitching techniques.
- Learn how to trim different Interior components utilising different tools, techniques and materials
- Follow clear instructions to make high‑quality pieces that look neat and meet Bentley’s luxury standards.
- Work carefully with different fabrics and stitch styles, making sure every piece is accurate and consistent.
- Help create personalised interior details, such as patterns, stitching styles, and embroidered designs.
About the Department:
The Vehicle Interior department is one of the largest parts of Manufacturing at Bentley, with over 500 colleagues crafting the luxury interior components our customers expect. It sits alongside other Production functions and plays a key role in bringing Bentley’s famous craftsmanship and sustainability ambitions to life. The department is made up of expert craftspeople, undertaking the traditional skills and modern techniques needed to create Bentley’s luxury interiors.
What We Are Looking For:
Training Provider Entry Requirements:
Huddersfield Textile Training Limited:
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths at grade 4/C or above
- Relevant experience in sewing, furniture making, or related crafts may also be considered
- A passion for hands-on work and attention to detail
- Commitment to completing an 18 month, Level 2 Sew Apprenticeship + 24 month Level 3 apprenticeship
- Employer support for practical on-the-job learning
