CRAFTING THE FUTURE: BENTLEY HONOURED WITH TCoE CHAIR'S AWARD
Bentley has been awarded the Chair’s Award from the Textile Centre of Excellence (TCoE), recognising our commitment to developing skills, craftsmanship and future manufacturing capability.
TCoE is an industry-led training organisation supporting skills development across textiles and advanced manufacturing. To mark 50 years of employer-led training across the UK, TCoE created a Special Achievement Award.
Bentley was unanimously chosen as the recipient, selected from over 100 member organisations.
At Bentley, craftsmanship is not just what we do, it is who we are. It has been passed down through generations of colleagues in Crewe, shaping how we build our cars and how we define luxury. It is one of the emotional drivers of the Bentley DNA, influencing how our vehicles are personalised and experienced by customers, and directly contributing to higher levels of value per car.
Protecting and developing craftsmanship today ensures we can continue to deliver world-class personalisation and luxury experiences in the future.
Currently, colleagues are completing a Level 3 Upholstery Apprenticeship, with further early careers colleagues joining from September to begin Level 2 Sewing or Level 3 Upholstery pathways. All training takes place in the Manufacturing Training Centre, using real production equipment in a safe, structured environment.
The judges highlighted Bentley’s clear focus on upskilling its workforce, investment in internal training capability, and long-term approach to developing future manufacturing skills. They also recognised our commitment to building capability not just for today, but for the future of luxury manufacturing.
Alan Williams, Chair of TCoE, described Bentley as “a truly world-class organisation that sets the standard globally, combining heritage with innovation and a genuine passion for developing people.”
For the Manufacturing Training Team, this award recognises their role in keeping craftsmanship alive, relevant and evolving.
