GOVERNMENT VISIT TO CREWE

We welcomed two senior Cabinet ministers: Rt Hon Yvette Cooper MP, Secretary of State for the Home Department, and Rt Hon Liz Kendall MP, Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, to our Dream Factory, showcasing our commitment to craftsmanship and skills development in Crewe.

Joined by other senior Home Office officials, the ministers toured key areas of our site, including Woodshop, Trim, GT assembly line, Excellence Centre for Vehicle Finish (ECVF), as well as a visit to our new Manufacturing Training Centre. During the visit, they spoke with a number of apprentices in Wood and Trim – a fantastic showcase of our in-house craftsmanship and the development pathways Bentley offers to the next generation.

The visit was a significant moment for Bentley, with the Government recognising that our legacy of supporting UK skills development and investment in early careers and technical skills are crucial to the long-term sustainability of the UK manufacturing industry. It also reaffirmed our position as a world-class UK manufacturer and place to work, underpinned by this strong emphasis on empowering all our colleagues to help achieve our Beyond100+ ambitions of transforming our product portfolio into a fully battery-electric one by 2035.
