EXTRAORDINARY UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMME

The Bentley Undergraduate Programme will drive your personal and professional development to new heights. Working closely with technical experts, a community of peers and other trainees, you will spend your year focusing on projects and tasks aligned to your home department’s objectives. Additionally, you will spend time developing your behaviours and project management skills through collaborative work with our community of trainees. Undergraduates at Bentley work with apprentices, graduates and interns to deliver community and sustainability projects.

 

EXTRAORDINARY TEAMS

Our Manufacturing department encompasses all production and manufacturing functions within Bentley, from delivering new projects straight into production, to strategizing future Manufacturing visions. As an Undergraduate of the Manufacturing Production Planning, Systems & Launch Programme, you could work in one of the following roles:

 

Production Planning

The Production Planning Undergraduate will be working within the Bolted Joints & Adhesives team, which provides specialist insight into bolted joints and adhesives standards and processes for Bentley’s manufacturing function. The Undergraduate will support the team with managing and developing projects, solving problems related to processes and supporting the implementation of new adhesive standards. 

 

Logistics

The Logistics Undergraduate works within the in-house Logistics & Contracts team. This team is responsible for  the optimisation and improvement of current and future supply chains for in-house logistics solutions. The Undergraduate will support strategic projects, liaising with other internal functions and work to improve the current and future supply chain.

 

New Model Feasibility

The Undergraduate will work within the New Model Feasibility team, which is responsible for; ensuring that the design of future products is feasible to build, supporting manufacturing targets and delivering a successful launch into production. The Undergraduate will support the team’s objectives in the technical analysis of future product design data, identifying risks and opportunities to implement manufacturing’s requirements into the design.

 

Production Planning - Trim, Wood & Paint

The Undergraduate will work within the Trim, Wood & Paint Planning team, which is responsible for the successful planning and delivery of new Manufacturing processes. This includes their conceptualisation in project phases, maturation in series and the management of end of life periods.

 

Production Planning - Assembly and Powertrain Facilities

The Assembly and Powertrain Facilities Undergraduate will work within the Production Planning facilities team, and will be responsible for various process improvements within this function. Key projects include enhancements to the end-to-end database, research into latest robotic safety techniques and improvements to the main assembly hall’s power distribution system.

To apply for this Undergraduate Programme you must be on course to achieve a minimum of a 2:1 degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or a related subject, alongside a pass in Maths and English at GCSE Level.
