ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an Engineer - Software Problem Resolution Management to join the business on a full time permanent basis, at our Crewe campus working on a hybrid basis. The position reports to the Head of Integration Management and Software Excellence and will be responsible for the optimisation and improvement of software for all vehicle projects.
Responsibilities include:
- This role is responsible for the consolidation of errors and deviations compared to target state across all sensors on the basis of comprehensive defect management for the assigned vehicle projects.
- This role supports the delivery of all vehicle projects in a timely manner when it comes to defect management and the achievement of the target maturity level for customers.
- This role supports the permanent optimisation and improvement of all relevant sub-processes, methods and tools regarding Software Problem Resolution Management.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
The successful applicant will be a delivery focused and experienced Electronics or Software/Hardware Engineer with experience in Software Problem Resolution Management ideally gained from within the automotive sector.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
- Knowledge of modern vehicle architectures, networking and functions in software and hardware
- Management of Software error Tickets
- Software optimisation and delivery
- Knowledge of the product development process (PEP)
- Leadership abilities and experiences
- Delivery focused
- Project management and Planning
- Good analytical and planning skills as well as high problem-solving competence
- Ability to influence colleagues within your area of responsibility
- Technical Engineering degree or equivalent (or equivalent experience)
- Associate member of relevant professional institute is desirable
- Good communication skills (German language would be advantageous)
