ABOUT THE ROLE
As an Engineer – Restraints you will collaborate with the Functional Manager- Airbags, Seatbelts and Steering Wheels to deliver our product ambitions and to shape our Beyond100 strategy.
This role is responsible for delivering restraints systems and components to meet the requirements of the Project Description Brochure.
MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the delivery of restraints components / systems to the defined Product Design Specifications
- Working with safety component suppliers as needed to fulfil objectives
- Engineering release
- Taking an analytical and systematic approach to create optimal solutions for issues and concerns
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
The successful candidate will be an Engineer within the automotive industry, with experience of delivering restraints components such as airbags, seatbelts or steering wheels.
- Experience of delivering safety components and systems
- Advanced Awareness of Design and development techniques and technology in restraints
- Project management and project delivery experience
- Test planning and testing experience
- A proven history of working successfully within a team
- Excellent time management and self-organisational skills
- An Engineering Degree or equivalent relevant experience
