ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Chassis Electronics Engineer you will collaborate with the Functional Manager to deliver our product ambitions and to shape our Beyond100 strategy.
The Chassis Electronics Engineer will be capable of carrying out key testing to determine, plan and investigate the complete integration of the ESC system from definition through to signal chain analysis and also ensure the vehicle subsystems are flashed and correct for key test trips.
The position holder will be ultimately responsible for the electrical development and delivery of electronic stability control systems. An engineering degree or equivalent technical experience is required for the role.
The function EMC5 is responsible for the delivery of the Active all wheel drive and vehicle electronic stability control sitting in Engineering motion within the Research and Development department.
MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsibility for development and delivery of Electronic Stability Control and traction management systems
- Cross functional tracking of systems performance such as calibration milestones and understanding cross functional calibration impacts
- Software tracking including vehicle maturity vs requirements and project milestones
- Deriving and communicating timing plans and project risks from top level milestone plans
- Use and derivation of Product Emergence Plans for Integration of electrical stability control systems
- End to End signal chain testing vs Functional Safety requirements
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
The successful candidate will be an Integration / ESC Engineer with proven vehicle evaluation and development of Chassis attributes within the automotive industry. An engineering degree or equivalent technical experience is required, also evidence of formal performance driving training from a reputable provider or OEM.
- Proficiency and usage of diagnostic tools – MM6, Canape, Odis, Idex and PIDT
- Advanced Design, development, testing and measurements ability
- Product Emergence Process (PEP) for electrical systems knowledge
- Knowledge of FUSI data and technical requirements
- Excellent personal organisation skills and the ability to prioritise, organise and manage workload
- The ability to convey feedback summary reports effectively with a great ability to communicate at all levels
