About the Role

We are seeking a Test and Build Support Technician to join the business on a Permanent basis, at our Crewe Campus (Hybrid working). Reporting to the Functional Manager – Test and Build Support, the Test and Build Support Technician will be aligned to a particular project(s) and will be required to form an exceptional working relationship with the respective EE Test & Build Support Engineer and the EE Integration Engineer.


The Test & Build Support function is responsible for the testing of every integration level during development of the Bentley products, as well as being responsible for the build of all Prototype and Pre-Series vehicles for Electrical Engineering. The function is also responsible for supporting other areas of the business, which can also include international travel when required.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting prototype and pre-series vehicles builds.
  • Support with integration testing (on and off-site).
  • Liaise and work with various departments to resolve issues.
  • Provide technical support to all Engineering functions, Manufacturing and Quality.
  • Use of specialist engineering facilities and equipment to diagnose and rectify issues.


About the Person

The successful applicant will ideally be in a Technician role with excellent problem solving skills and continuous improvement techniques.  The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

  • Ability to follow processes and detailed documentation.
  • Clear communication (written and verbal).
  • Experience with VW Group diagnostic tools and systems.
  • Ability to work as part of a team yet able to complete tasks on your own.
