About the Role

We are seeking a Module Leader Body in White. This is a fantastic opportunity to join the Product Lines team on a project that defines the Beyond 100 strategic product direction. The Module Leader is responsible for the cross functional delivery of the Body In White module content to achieve product emergence gateways. Reporting to the Product Line Director, key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the target definition for Body In White module systems, agreeing clear targets for revenue, cost and profitability cross functionally.
  • Steering and controlling the Body In White module through the Product Emergence Process, ensuring adherence to project gateways, body performance quality and that financial targets are met through pre series and series build phases.
  • Leading, engaging and influencing the project Module team, including cross functional and Group representation for design, engineering, tolling and facility installation.
  • Leading the development and maturation of the body through the tooling and facility installation.
  • Liaising with the body assembly site, toolmakers, and production planning at group and brand level.
  • Reporting project milestones and KPI performance to key stakeholders.
  • Supporting the formulation of Product Line strategy and delivery of the Cycle Plan.


About the Person

The successful candidate will be in a Module Leader/ Engineering Manager role within the automotive industry with demonstrable body in white experience.  You will demonstrate:

  • Demonstrable experience in delivering Body In White projects and systems from concept through to start of production, applying problem solving skills and technical expertise throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Demonstrable experience of leading cross functional projects with the ability to deliver through the engagement and empowerment of a matrix organisation.
  • Strong project management skills, with proven ability to deliver against time, cost and quality targets.
  • Experience of managing and resolving ambiguity combined with the ability to make informed decisions under pressure and apply lessons learnt from previous projects to deliver continuous improvements.
  • Strong communication skills with proven ability to engage and influence a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Proficient German language skills.
