About the Role

We are seeking a Emissions Test Technician to join Technical Conformity. Reporting to the Functional Manager – Emissions Test and Test Operations, the Emissions Test Technician will be responsible for the preparation of vehicles for Emissions testing and performing Emissions tests to agreed standards. The role is based within the new commissioned and accredited test facility and we are now looking for the next generation of technicians to continue its success.


Our facility is designed to accommodate new and innovative testing methods and to support the business to obtain its sustainability targets.

The Technical Conformity Test Operations team is responsible for delivering test solutions to all business functions requiring Emissions and energy test capability.


The function forms part of the Technical Conformity department and facilitates delivery of Conformity of Production, Type approval, Development and Current Model Production testing while maintaining compliance with legislative and group standards.


Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and performing emissions tests, Calibrations, Maintenance & Service and record keeping of all associated test equipment
  • Analysis and quality analysis of test results to ensure adherence to legislation and process.
  • Performing calibration and maintenance tasks
  • Identifying areas for improvement, supporting budget targets to reduce waste and downtime.
  • Develop own technical knowledge of Emission Test best practice and procedures


About the Person

The successful colleague will be in a Technician role with emission testing experience and looking to utilise their skills in a different capacity. You will have excellent problem solving and continuous improvement techniques and be a good team player with excellent communication skills. The role offer a great opportunity to become part of Bentleys brand new facility that has been designed developed to support Bentleys beyond 100 strategy and to further robust our technical capabilities to meet the demands of luxury mobility.


You will demonstrate:

  • Ability to follow processes and detailed documentation
  • Effective time management and ability to work to a set delivery plan
  • Willingness to work flexibly within a shift environment.
  • Emissions test experience, including results analysis.
  • Calibration and basic maintenance of emissions analysers.
