ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Technical Manager - Integration Management you will collaborate with Product Integration strategy, planning and deployment to deliver our product ambitions and to shape our Beyond100 strategy.
This role is pivotal in ensuring Bentley development and validation programmes are aligned and meet the car project key milestones (PEP). The role holder will ensure programme feasibility, by integrating the Platform release / development schedule with Bentley development plans.
This position has responsibility for Product Integration across a span of vehicle projects. The role holder will report to the Head of Whole Vehicle Quality & Validation (EG/Q), the EG/Q team are responsible for Problem Management, Product Integration, Verification and Validation, and Prototype Fleet Management.
Responsibilities include:
- Definition of feasible Product Integration Plan for car projects
- Feasibility study of programme timing goals, inclusive of platform and Bentley development release schedules
- Definition of Product Functionality / Functional Maturity targets for programme phases
- Communication of status versus target, and steering countermeasure plans to ensure effective programme delivery
- Optimising the product integration points to deliver programme cost effectively, and reducing vehicle build complexity
- Management of Bentley Integration Levels (BiL) / Integration systems
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
The successful candidate will ideally be within a development position with experience of Product Integration, Product Engineering / Development, Product Verification / Validation, or Project Management (development / validation environment) gained from within the automotive sector
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate experience in:
- Product Integration
- Project Management
- Product Engineering / Development
- IT / Microsoft skills
- Presentation & communication, of complex topics to all levels
- Engineering Degree Qualified or equivalent experience
