ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Programme Manager you’ll lead and manage complex, strategically focussed programmes and projects, often with an extended planning horizon (up to 5 years); ensuring that the programmes are defined, planned and set up. You’ll be naturally inquisitive, always asking yourself “How can I make this better?” and able to be at the forefront of budget and project related discussions with Senior Management.

 

This is a newly created role that offers a wonderful opportunity for an experienced programme or project leader to join our IT function as we enter our next exciting phase of Bentley Hybrid Electric and Fully Electric vehicles and join us on our journey, as we enter a key period of change adoption and IT transformation for Bentley.

 

This position will have the responsibility of ensuring that the programmes are successfully executed and delivered to achieve the desired business outcome(s), with strong monitoring and control in place, steering the overall Programme and associated project portfolio according to the established delivery frameworks, managing the interdependencies and intricacies from cross functional and inter-departmental complexities. 

 

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Programme definition, planning and setup.  Ensuring clearly defined scope and deliverables and establishing an appropriate programme structure
  • Implementing and maintaining effective programme delivery controls and governance, managing dependencies, risks and issues
  • Implementing effective stakeholder engagement and communication plans
  • Ensuring effective quality assurance and the overall integrity of the programme

 

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE       

The successful candidate will have experience within a similar role and have experience in effectively delivering enterprise wide Projects and Programme Management, driving strategic results and delivering business outcomes.

 

  • Experience of working with ambiguous deliverables and being able to break these into delivery tranches
  • Extensive, demonstrable experience in an IT and business related application or technical area with supervisory or management control over projects and resources 
  • Extensive experience of working within a structured project environment, over the full lifecycle
  • Ability to effectively plan, organise & prioritise workload, across multiple projects with different stakeholders and to reflect company priorities
  • Problem solving and ability to understand and interpret complex business issues and processes
  • Strong risk, issue and change management skills
