The Bentley Graduate Programme is designed to give you a broad experience of the business. Working closely with technical experts, a community of peers and other trainees, you will spend your two years focusing on projects and tasks aligned to your home department’s objectives, while also gaining an understanding of the wider business processes and functions. We encourage Graduates to spend time learning how the product is built in our factory, whilst also recognising the route that a customer order takes to make it to the production line. At Bentley, we ensure everybody feels connected to our amazing products and services - and as an integral part of the team your input will be valued alongside every colleague.


In addition, you will be part of a community of over 150 trainees all working towards the same developmental goals. You will spend time developing your behaviours and project management skills through collaborative work with this community of trainees, from charity work and attraction activity to project management opportunities.



Our Manufacturing department encompasses all production and manufacturing functions within Bentley, from delivering new projects straight into production, to strategizing future Manufacturing visions. As Graduate of the Manufacturing Production Planning, Systems & Launch Programme, you could work in one of the following roles:


Digital Production Maintenance

The Production Maintenance Team are responsible for all production processes within Bentley, including Assembly, Paint, Wood, Trim and Tool. The team also operates a wide variety of technology which include Robots, Pneumatic and Hydraulic Systems, and Programmable Logic Controllers. In this respect, the Graduate within thisteam will be involved in not only new project strategy related to maintenance and production, but also in digital solution projects such as developing App-based systems.

New Model Feasibility

The New Model Feasibility Team is responsible for ensuring that the design of future Bentley products is feasible to build and support manufacturing targets, delivering a successful launch into production. The Manufacturing Graduate will be crucial in supporting the team’s objectives in the technical analysis of future product design data, identifying risks and opportunities then influencing other functions to implement manufacturing’s requirements into the design.

Final Assembly and Powertrain

The Final Assembly and Powertrain Planning team is responsible for the right first time delivery of Manufacturing processes, including their conceptualisation in project phases, maturation in series and the management of end of life periods. Working as a Graduate within this team would allow the opportunity to lead Manufacturing  projects directly in support of our Beyond100 Strategy and improve current model production. 

Trim, Wood & Paint

This Graduate role will be based mainly in the Trim, Wood & Paint Planning team, where the Manufacturing processes of these three specific areas are conceptualised, matured and managed in end-of-life periods. While focusing mainly on projects and assembly processes within this home department, the Programme will expose you to the breadth of our Manufacturing Strategy and allow you the opportunity to explore potential fields of expertise.


Logistics sits within the Bentley Manufacturing function, ensuring that everything required to build each Bentley is delivered to the factory precisely where it needs to be, when it needs to be, at the right quality and cost. This exciting Graduate role will be structured through a number of agreed placements across the Logistics function, from planning sustainable supply chains for a future electric vehicle to making improvements to our in-house Logistics operations and everything in-between.

Vehicle Interior

This department is undergoing a significant strategic change to achieve our ambitions for the future, and become the benchmark for luxury and sustainable Interiors. The Vehicle Interior Graduate will have the opportunity to  lead in a wide array of projects, including improvement strategy, materials analysis, process flow and re-mapping.

To apply for this Graduate Programme you must be on course to achieve or have achieved a minimum of a 2:1 degree in a relevant subject area, alongside a pass in Maths and English at GCSE Level. A degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, IT or a related subject is preferable.

  • Have skills in mathematical statistical methods, as well as knowledge of Manufacturing Processes
  • Be a team player, with a keen sense of their own responsibility to the team, the business and themselves
  • Be adaptable, quick-thinking and with an appetite for problem-solving
  • Be excited to take ownership of and deliver projects
  • Be confident in Microsoft Office programs and possess a high level of IT competence
  • Be pro-active in pushing new ideas and solutions forward
  • Embrace the challenge of influencing stakeholders, both internal and external
  • Be confident yet open-minded – willing to listen and learn from every Colleague
