Bentley’s legendary history needs no retelling – we’ve been creating extraordinary customer journeys for more than a century. But what will Bentley’s future look like? And could you play a part in shaping it? A transformation is happening, evolution in real time, as we undertake our own extraordinary journey towards becoming the most sustainable luxury automotive brand in the world. This bold vision can’t happen without bright, fresh minds, innovators and disruptors, challengers of preconceptions. Could that be you? We seek motivated and digital-savvy individuals to join us on our journey, to help envision and shape Bentley’s future. If you are interested in building your career in Engineering within an extraordinary company, this could be your moment. The perfect chance to make a difference.

The Bentley Graduate Programme is designed to give you a broad experience of the business. Working closely with technical experts, a community of peers and other trainees, you will spend your two years focusing on projects and tasks aligned to your home department’s objectives, while also gaining an understanding of the wider business processes and functions. We encourage Graduates to spend time learning how the product is built in our factory, whilst also recognising the route that a customer order takes to make it to the production line. At Bentley, we ensure everybody feels connected to our amazing products and services - and as an integral part of the team your input will be valued alongside every colleague.

In addition, you will be part of a community of over 150 trainees all working towards the same developmental goals. You will spend time developing your behaviours and project management skills through collaborative work with this community of trainees, from charity work and attraction activity to project management opportunities.

At Bentley, a talented engineer understands the bigger picture. And our Beyond100 picture is bigger than ever. Our challenge is to innovate, to create the new automotive future on our own terms. The Engineering Graduate will learn new skills, discover new solutions, adapt and evolve, all whilst shaping our vision. Our Engineering department encompasses all research and development functions within Bentley, from concepts and design, development and validation of parts and whole vehicles, to production ready vehicles.

There are roles available in a number of areas, all of which will have a specific focus but will allow you to gain a broad understanding of the Engineering function and other areas of the business with which the department interacts:

  • Design and Styling
  • Electrical and Electronic Engineering
  • Whole Vehicle Engineering
  • Body and Trim Engineering
  • Vehicle Motion Engineering
  • Concepts
  • Technical Conformity

We believe that every candidate can make a difference. The difference about working at Bentley is all about questions – not the questions we ask you but the questions you ask us. What kind of future do we want to build? If we can open our minds to new ideas we can create extraordinary journeys, not only for our customers, but also for ourselves.

To apply for this Graduate Programme you must be on course to achieve or have achieved a minimum of a 2:1 degree in an Engineering discipline, alongside a pass in Maths and English at GCSE Level.

A successful candidate will:

  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Be a team player, with a keen sense of their own responsibility to the team, the business and themselves
